I'm selling my Forté Audio Model 6. I think this powerful 2x200W amp, with a damping factor of 400, can easily power complicated loudspeakers. It can have 50A current peaks, otherwise it sends an average of 16A. It works perfectly - it's second-hand, the first owner took good care of it, and so did I. A small nick in the top left-hand corner, some light scratches on the top of the cover, but nothing to worry about. Very nice RCA or XLR connector with selector.

It's possible, and even advisable, to add a very good mains cable, and you'll get your money's worth... The first brand from the famous manufacturer Nelson Pass, this amp managed to drive my Spendor SP9.1 loudspeakers, which are reputed to be very difficult, and that's saying something.

onsoir je m'appelle Denis, j'ai 54 ans et je vit à Saint-Yon dans l'Essonne. I'm starting to get a feel for the high-end brands that made me dream when I was 18. I love jazz, electro, trip-hop, a little pop and French variété. My system was built up as opportunities arose. But now that I have a space and a dedicated hifi meter in my suburban bungalow, I realize that my approach was too anarchic... I'm putting some homogeneity back into my system.

My strong point is vinyl, a beautiful Micro Seiki RX1500 with its bronze platter. It's backed up by two arms, a Fidelity Research FR64s with a mc Dynavector XV1s cell. The other arm, a Saec 506/30, was normally intended for mono with a Miyajima Zero, but life had other plans. A Zyx Omega now sits there. After testing a pair of Jeff Rowland Model 3 mono blocks and a Forté Audio Model6 to drive my divine Spendor SP9.1s, my choice fell on the diabolical Ear Yoshino pair, namely the 868PL preamp and its sidekick, the 861 amp. CD playback is entrusted to a vintage Denon DCD-3520. The Cardas, Purist Audio Design, Kimber Cable and Shunyata brands are used for loudspeakers, phono modulation and symmetrical modulation. My current speakers are Spendor SP9/1s, which are extraordinary but difficult to position and drive. Next up may be the Living Voice IBX-RW3, the Harbeth SHL5, or more recently the Atlantis Lab AT18 Pro or the PEL Kantor S4...
