The Astell&Kern SEM2 module is specifically designed for the Astell&Kern A&Futura SE180 audiophile portable music player. It allows you to increase performance thanks to its dual AKM AK4497 DAC compatible with 32bits / 768 kHz and DSD512. This is associated with an amplifier section with balanced and unbalanced outputs. Its high power of 4 Vrms asymmetrical or 6 Vrms symmetrical ensures perfect power supply for any headset or pair of headphones.

The Astell&Kern SEM2 module integrates a dual AKMAK4497 DAC, a high-end model selected for its very high musicality and the precision of its conversion. Implementing a dual DAC allows the Astell&Kern SEM2 module to provide independent conversion for each left and right channel. This helps reduce interference to maximize accuracy, while optimizing signal-to-noise ratio and channel sedation. A precision clock is also required to optimize the data rate. Thanks to this design, the double DAC of the Astell&Kern SEM2 module ensures optimal conversion of the majority of audio formats up to very high definition of 32 bits / 768 kHz for PCM streams. It is also capable of natively decoding DSD files up to DSD512 (DSD 22.4 MHz), as well as MQA files.

Astell&Kern SEM2: balanced and unbalanced output
The amplification section of the Astell&Kern SEM2 module provides two balanced 2.5 mm mini-jack and 4.4 mm jack outputs, as well as an unbalanced 3.5 mm mini-jack output. The unbalanced and balanced outputs are associated with independent amplifier modules to maximize sound precision. The amplification circuit is isolated from the rest of the components to avoid interference possibly emitted by the player. This makes it possible to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio and listening precision. This is also improved by the patented Teraton Alpha technology which makes it possible to provide power with the lowest possible noise. Thanks to this, the Astell&Kern SEM2 module boasts a very impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 127 dB. It is capable of delivering a high power of 3 Vrms on its asymmetrical output or 6 Vrms symmetrical, which allows it to calmly power the majority of headphones and earphones on the market.
