With two integrated ES9028PRO chips, it can directly decode 32bit-384kHz PCM with native DSD512 capability, and even MQA! The decoded signal is immediately connected to the integrated (and interchangeable) headphone amplifier. As a result, the device delivers top-quality audio reproduction in the palm of your hand.

The DX220 features two Sabre ESS ES9028Pro 32-bit DAC chips. This highly acclaimed HiFi component features the famous Hyperstream II technology with active jitter reduction and hardware volume control with signal auto-calibration.

While this component is capable of simultaneously decoding 8 audio tracks, the DX220's integration is special: each DAC chip works exclusively on a single audio channel. This plays a major role in creating an extremely wide soundstage, with impressive crosstalk and dynamic range.


Femtosecond clocks

A true nomadic multifunction audio processor, the DX220 features an 8-core ARM CPU, more than enough power to ensure playback and decoding of the most demanding audio files while offering a pleasant, intuitive interface (Android 8.1).

The USB input is driven by an XMOS chip. As well as enabling native DSD streams and high-definition audio, this technology allows the DX220 to be used as a USB sound card that will have nothing to envy its sedentary counterparts.

The DACs / XMOS / CPU trio is articulated around no less than 5 femtosecond clocks, including two ultra-low phase noise Accusilicon. A design without compromise on audio quality that makes the DX220 an absolutely unique DAP.

Bi-directional Bluetooth support enables the DX220 to function as both a receiver and a source for wireless audio.
The DAP is Bluetooth 5.0, LDAC and apt-X compatible. This means it can be connected to any technological base already fitted to your audio devices, while offering Bluetooth audio quality very close to that of CDs.

The insulating housing (CNC) incorporates an external antenna to eliminate interference during transmission and reception.
The device is easily charged via a reversible USB-C port.

It has a 4400mAh battery capable of providing between 8 and 9 hours of continuous playback.

The charging program is compatible with QC3.0, PD2.0 and MTK PE Plus protocols. Three fast charging protocols that allow 70% of the battery's maximum capacity to be charged in just one hour.

Panasonic polymer capacitors and specific inductors are employed to reduce the power supply's internal resistance.
