Replacing the NRG-2 cable series, the Audioquest NRG-Z3 EU power cable features a grounded Schuko connector on one side and a 3-pole IEC-C13 connector on the other. For this new range, Audioquest has chosen semi-rigid perfect surface copper (PSC ) with silver-plated drain conductors, to minimize the current distortion and irregularities caused by ordinary metal conductors. Composed of 7 concentrically-placed strands, Audioquest NRG-Z3 EU power cable offers zero characteristic impedance, meaning that current transfer is uncompressed and therefore runs as smoothly as possible. The Audioquest NRG-Z3 EU power cable also benefits from patented ground noise dissipation technology, protecting it against possible wiring faults and radio frequency (RF) noise.
