Front panel, drawer, presser puck, transport mechanisms... almost everything is made of metal (aluminum or steel); exceptional assembly quality in terms of the materials used, the adjustment of the various mechanisms and the uncompromising choice of audiophile-grade electronic components; this turntable exudes quality, know-how and is built to last.

The chassis is stiffened by crossmembers, the door is sealed (no vibration, no dust "polluting" the mechanics or the CD, no noise when closing...), 5 audio outputs: fixed, variable, digital optical and analog, headphones (motorized volume potentiometer), remote control with numeric keypad for direct track selection, fade function for recording, peak level search... all for a weight of 7.5 kg...

An original and innovative technology: unlike all turntables on the market, where the laser lens moves over the CD, in the case of the Sony, the lens is fixed and it's the motor assembly (and therefore the CD) that moves (hence the magnetic puck to hold the disc in place). Why this choice? According to Sony engineers, the fact that the lens is fixed means that the DSP digital signal processing board can be positioned as close as possible to the lens, thus saving signal (or at least not losing any).

This turntable works very well. It has been overhauled/cleaned/lubricated/tested, and the drawer belt has been changed.
The top of the cover had a few scratches from use, and has been professionally covered with a black wood-look vinyl film (which can be removed with a little care, but it would be a real shame, as it gives this player a superb appearance).
It comes with its original remote control.
