Description

As a long-time enthusiast of vintage HIFI audio amplifiers, whose videos can be viewed on Youtube (see AM'S Vintage in the search engine), I am offering for sale a rare Thorens AZ25.
Thorens is a Swiss company founded in 1883 by Hermann Thorens in Sainte-Croix (Vaud), then acquired and transferred to Germany (Thorens GmbH).
Best known for the excellence of its vinyl turntables, Thorens produced two exclusive tube integrations in the 1963s, the Thorens AZ25 with diode bridge rectification and the identical PR24 with valve rectification.
This amp is in exceptional cosmetic condition; it has been (like all the amps visible on AM'S Vintage) completely overhauled, with electrochemicals changed, a few resistors out of value, diode bridge, repair of all defective soldering, total repainting identical to the original, cleaning, deoxidation and lubrication of potentiometers and contactors, RCA terminals, HP terminals, power cord, indicator diode.
The power tubes are 6973 RCA NOS (see average price on search engine...), tested excellent by Mr Jean Luc Benoist (Dr Tubes).
